Move well with Chiropractic

“90% of the stimulation and nutrition to the brain is generated by the movement of the spine”

Dr Roger Sperry (Nobel prize recipient)

Blending the drug-free, non-surgical art of hands-on therapy with the science and technology of modern medicine and physical rehabilitation, “chiropractic” translates to mean “done by hand”. Although it’s the youngest of the natural healing arts, it’s seen tremendous growth over the past decade.

The basic – and proven – premise of chiropractic care is that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, and that this healing process can be facilitated through proper alignment of the musculoskeletal system. Chiropractic therapy therefore involves the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders. Its areas of focus include the spine itself, as well as joints, muscles, and the nervous system.

It’s a safe and effective treatment option for many musculoskeletal disorders, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sciatica. In addition, it’s used to treat conditions like osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and carpal tunnel syndrome.

At Peak Performance, we use a variety of chiropractic techniques, therapies and interventions to assist our patients in reaching optimal wellness. These include spinal manipulation, dry needling, massage, stretching, and mobilization. We also provide education and guidance on healthy lifestyle habits to help our patients achieve optimal health and well-being, such as nutrition, exercise, and stress management solutions.

If you or a loved one suffer from pain or discomfort that may be related to a musculoskeletal condition, consider contacting one of our highly skilled chiropractors today to arrange treatment.

Think well with Neurobalance

"Your brain is the most valuable thing you possess, make sure you invest in it."

John Medina

There are many factors that can cause electrical imbalances in the brain, including trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, pain, a history of concussions, illness, strokes, or post-Covid complications.

Brain Optimisation is an EEG-based, Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven process that measures imbalances and amplitudes in brain waves regardless of the cause, and then guides the brain to rectify those imbalances. It’s a non-invasive process through which our specialists at Peak Performance are able to assist patients in making real, lasting, and often dramatic differences to the quality of their sleep, health, and lives in general.

To begin with, sensors are placed on different parts of the head to read the brain's data. Algorithm-based, AI-driven software is then used to translate that data into frequency-specific tones; when played back to the brain, it recognizes the imbalance and recalibrates itself accordingly. This results in both balanced brain waves and the restoration of your brain's plasticity, which gives you the ability to function at optimal levels.

Should you be suffering from symptoms that may be related to electrical imbalances in the brain, seek relief from one of our neurobalance practitioners today.

Be well with Bioflex Laser

Bioflex LILT is an FDA approved, three-step cold laser therapy process that promotes increased ATP production – which results in a multitude of physiologically beneficial effects. These include the regeneration and repair of cells in bones, muscles, ligaments, cartilage, nerves and dermatological tissue. As such, Bioflex laser has proven to be an effective treatment for conditions such as disc herniations and sciatica, migraines, Achilles tendonitis, plantarfascitis, tennis elbow, rotator cuff injuries, muscle tears and bone fractures – to list just a few.

Healing through Bioflex laser treatment is a cumulative process, and patients will need anywhere from 5 to 11 treatments – although this will vary from individual to individual depending on the severity and duration of their condition. Just as every medical case in unique, so too are the responses to therapy; however, the success rate statistics are encouraging and equate to the following: 90% of patients achieved 70-100% permanent relief within 20 sessions.

In the first step towards healing, a red-light pad at 660 nm is absorbed by the cells of the skin and underlying superficial muscle layers, reducing sensitivity caused in those areas. This has been shown to increase inflammatory mediators such as macrophages, neutrophils, and lymphocytes.

Following this, an infrared light pad at 840 nm is applied, which reaches deeper into the muscle layers, tendons and ligaments to reduce inflammation and heal damaged tissues. This step has been shown to increase chondrocyte and collagen production, which allows for improved cartilage deposition and joint function. Additionally, it’s proven successful in allowing for the proper alignment and remodelling of collagen, thus reducing internal scar formation.

Finally, an infrared laser wand at 830 nm is placed directly over the source of pain. Highly concentrated, the laser targets the deepest of the affected tissues, including bone.

In combination, these steps lead to the reduction and eventual elimination of pain, and restored mobility. If you’re experiencing pain or restricted movement due to cellular or tissue damage, talk to one of our skilled Bioflex practitioners today to find out more about this non-invasive relief solution.
